Success story: Industrial Harvest Café
Industrial Harvest Café has been a local landmark for the past four years, drawing a wide audience thanks to its popularity. That constant flow of customers took its toll on the original polished concrete floor, which over time began to show wear and discolouration from built-up soil. The cleaning routine relied on mopping and applying detergent at the end of every working day.
Challenge
Finding an automated answer that would simplify cleaning and guarantee consistent results. Automation would not only make better use of time, it would free staff to focus on disinfecting critical areas, improving safety and overall effectiveness.
Solution
After a thorough on-site technical survey, we determined that the best solution would be a Tennant T500 scrubber fitted with an orbital scrub head. We chose this option for two crucial reasons:
First, Tennant orbital heads stand out for their agitation, rather than the rotary motion typical of disc or cylindrical heads. That makes them ideal for certain floor types, because orbital pads are abrasive and help lift the stubborn soil that discolours the floor surface.
Second, our scrubbers deliver exceptional down pressure. Starting at a standard 77 kg, it is among the highest on the market, which makes these machines reliable and long-lasting. That capability is essential to effective cleaning performance.
To improve cleaning results further and tackle the built-up soil, we added a food-safe degreaser directly to the solution tank. That gave an even spread of chemical across the scrub head and the floor, keeping a steady, efficient pace.
Results
